Ingunn Holmen

"Ingunn Holmen kan ikke kalles årets nykommer, for hun har sunget i fire år allerede. Men dævven som dama kan synge! Absolutt et navn å følge med på!"

As a professional singer, Ingunn Holmen might be a bit of a debutante in the music scene, but with such a unique, resonant and rich voice and enchanting charisma, one might think otherwise. Her sincere passion for quality music cannot be measured by normal means. This is a thoughtful, budding Norwegian artist whose inner sense of rhythm and musical luminescence are only outmatched by her drive and desire to navigate through the dark realms of the world. As both co- producer and musician, Mark Steiner has committed himself to elevate her magical abilities as a vocalist and song writer, and through this new collaboration, one ought to start paying attention to the journey these musical partners-in-crime have just embarked upon.

The pair released two new singles during the summer of 2023, both featuring Pavel Cingl on violin. The first single was a scaled-down dark wave interpretation of the song Black Hole. Ingunn, Mark and Pavel have performed a number of shows together in cities such as Reykjavik, Berlin, Athens, and even New York City. The trio played a mini-tour of Czech Republic in August and September 2023.

A second single, Twin Flames (Celestial version), was released in a timely manner, also an interpretation of the 2023 single Hang On! (Twin Flames) by Mark Steiner & His Problems. Pavel Cingl also recently remixed a version of "Twin Flames" with Czech engineer Pavel Šmíd, which you can listen to here: Twin Flames (Big Friday remix)

In 2024 the trio played a small tour of Norway, and this summer they again reunited for a second tour of Czechia. Please have a look at upcoming tour dates.

The EP Et annet sted (A Different Place), consisting of three brand new recordings of song interpretations are being launched on Thursday, 5. September. Stay tuned!
